AIMA Fund Manager Briefing: A Practical Guide to CSRD Reporting
Please join AIMA & Danesmead ESG & Simpson Thacher for this session focusing on what Investment Managers need to know about the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
CSRD will require significant investment of time and resources for in-scope entities to diligence both the financial effects of sustainability matters on their business, and their businesses’ impact on people and planet. The regulation will mainly impact corporates with a substantive presence in the EU. While funds themselves are not in scope, in-scope investment managers will have to assess the impacts, risks and opportunities associated with their broader ‘value chain’.
In the session we will cover:
- CSRD scoping: Who’s in scope and when
- Double materiality assessment: What is a double materiality assessment and what do companies have to do
- Value chain: When are impacts, risks and opportunities in a portfolio relevant to an investment manager
- ESRS reporting standards: What are the ESRS reporting standards and how do they fit into CSRD
- XBRL tagging & reporting: What does a CSRD report consist of and what are the requirements
Speakers:
- Matt Feehily, Partner, Sustainability and ESG, Simpson Thacher
- Daniella Woolf, ESG Director, Danesmead ESG
