Following the appointment of Paul Atkins as Chairman in April 2025, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has adopted a revised approach to rulemaking and regulatory oversight, which has informed the amendment, cancellation and deferral of numerous rules enacted under prior Chairman Gensler. In addition, the Outbound Investment Rules restricting or requiring notification for U.S. Persons’ investment in specified sectors namely technology in China and other countries of concern commenced last year. The presentation will consider managers’ strategies for addressing these rules.
