On 25 May 2018, the Council of the European Union announced that Bahamas and Saint Kitts and Nevis would be removed from the EU list of non-cooperative jurisdictions (also known as the blacklist).

The two jurisdictions would be moved to annex II (cooperation with respect to commitments made, known as the grey list). Both jurisdictions have made commitments at a high political level to remedy the EU’s concerns. The Code of Conduct Group, responsible for producing the blacklist, would carefully monitor commitments made by both jurisdictions. Notably, both Bahamas and Saint Kitts and Nevis were added to the blacklist only on 13 March 2018.
