AIMA has responded to the European Banking Authority (“EBA”) and European Securities and Markets Authority (“ESMA”) joint Discussion Paper on the European Commission’s call for advice on how the investment firms prudential framework is functioning. AIMA agrees with the Discussion Paper’s view that the framework is working effectively in achieving its objectives and significant amendments to it would not be justified.
