ACC supports Business Development Company reform
Published: 28 March 2018
The Alternative Credit Council and AIMA submitted a letter of support for the “Small Business Credit Availability Act” that would reform the asset coverage test and offering requirements for Business Development Companies (BDCs).
BDCs play a significant and vital role ensuring that these businesses can access the capital they need to invest, grow, and support new jobs. BDCs benefit borrowers by providing an alternative to the banking sector and promoting competitive markets. Diversifying the sources of funding available to businesses also promotes a strong and resilient economy. This Act was subsequently incorporated into the US Consolidated Appropriations Act 2018.
