Mary Rooney

Mary Rooney is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. She heads Due Diligence and Manager Selection for Global Private Credit and Fixed Income & Multi-Asset Alternatives. Prior to J.P. Morgan in 2012, she was the Investment Strategist for Annaly Capital. Mary spent 14 years at Merrill Lynch, working at the Investment Bank as a specialist for credit and interest rates markets. She ran the Global Credit Strategy team which focused on investment grade, high yield, hybrid capital, and credit derivative products. She has been a successive member of Institutional Investor’s All-American Research Team for both Derivatives and Agency Products. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, she was the Credit Strategist at J.P. Morgan, where she built-up the corporate bond strategy effort.  She has contributed to professional books on both fixed income portfolio management and credit risk management. Mary has M.A. in Economics from University of Missouri.
