Head of Latin America USD Private Credit, Compass Group
Mr. Burgos Díaz is the Head of Latin America USD Private Credit for Compass Group based in New York City. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Burgos Díaz was a Director in the Emerging Markets team at CarVal Investors, a team responsible for managing investments in emerging markets, focusing on trades in distressed and high-yield assets, structured products and equities. Mr. Burgos Díaz has also held roles at Deutsche Bank and Bank of America, including most recently the role of Director in Deutsche Bank’s Emerging Markets Structured Credit Trading team, a team responsible for over $2 billion of investment positions across corporate high yield bonds and loan investments.
Mr. Burgos Díaz received a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting and Finance from the Universidad de Puerto Rico. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Frontera Energy Corporation, a Canadian oil and gas company with assets in South America.
