Francois Otieno
Mr. Otieno is the Director of Fixed Income at Segal Marco Advisors. He is based in Miami, Florida but affiliated with the firm’s Chicago office. He has 25 years of investment experience with expertise in traditional fixed income and private credit. He is also a member of the firm’s Sustainable Investing Committee as well as the Committee for Diversity Investing.
Prior to joining Segal Marco Advisors, Mr. Otieno served as a Senior Consultant at Aon Hewitt Investment Consulting, Inc. for nine years. In that role, he served as a senior member of the firm’s manager research group focusing on fixed income, while working closely with a large number of clients in a variety of roles. Before that, he spent five years at Anthem, Inc., one of the largest health Insurance companies in the nation, as a Senior Investment Consultant overseeing the investment program. Prior to that, he spent two years at Conseco Capital Management (rebranded as 40/86 Advisors) as an Investment Analyst in the Structured Products Group.
Mr. Otieno holds a BS degree in Business Administration as well as an MBA degree from Indiana State University. He is also a Level II candidate for the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
