Clark Hoover

Investment Officer, Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System (LACERS)

Clark Hoover, CFA, oversees private credit for the $24 billion Los Angeles City Employees’ Retirement System (LACERS). Clark has 17 years of professional financial markets experience, including positions with Goldman Sachs, UBS, and FINRA. 

Clark graduated with honors from UCLA, earning a BA in Communication Studies focused on political discourse. He returned to UCLA to earn an MBA from the Anderson School of Management. 

Clark volunteers for the Jewish Free Loan Association of Los Angeles (JFLA) on the Small Business Loan Committee. He is a former board member of JFLA and Hillel at UCLA. 

Between undergraduate and MBA studies, Clark spent a decade in Israel, during which he served as a tank driver in the Israel Defense Forces, studied political science at Tel Aviv University, and reported breaking news for two of the country's most widely-read newspapers.
