Senior representative, Global Markets, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC)
Ali Hassan is the Senior Representative of Global Markets for the DIFC Authority. In his current role, Mr. Hassan supports the CEO in developing and promoting the insurance, banking and capital markets; wealth and asset management; fostering an innovative ecosystem for multinational companies and professional service providers, in line with the Centre’s business strategies. He plays an active role in managing client development and is also responsible for promoting and spreading awareness about DIFC’s competitiveness and positioning it regionally and globally.
Mr. Hassan brings vast regulatory knowledge and commercial experience to his position at the DIFC Authority, having supervised and authorised a diverse range of businesses, including exchanges, trading platforms, wealth management, investment banking and brokerage operations with experience in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
Mr Hassan pursued Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Law from the University of London and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1999. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment in the UK.
