Dana Carey
Chief Investment Officer – Credit, Chairman of the Investment Committee, MidOcean Partners
Dana Carey joined MidOcean Credit Partners in 2019 as Chief Investment Officer and is responsible for overseeing the investment activities of the firm. Mr. Carey serves as the Chairman of the firm’s Investment Committee and a member of the Management Committee and Risk Committee. Prior to MidOcean Credit Partners, Mr. Carey was a Partner at Apollo Global Management in the credit business. In this role, Mr. Carey served as the Global Co-Head of the Performing Credit business, which included approximately $30 billion in assets under management across credit funds, separately managed accounts and Apollo-managed CLO’s. Mr. Carey served on several investment committees at Apollo, including as Co-Chairman of the investment committee for the Global Performing Credit business. Prior to joining Apollo, Mr. Carey was a Partner and Co-Head of Special Situations at Stone Tower Capital, a leading alternative investment management company that was acquired by Apollo in 2012. Earlier in his career, Mr. Carey worked in private equity and investment banking. Mr. Carey received a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
