From a tax perspective, RSM will cover emerging tax policy developments in Washington D.C. as Democrats set to finalize a major legislative package which will likely include significant tax increases. The team will discuss the substance of these development deriving from both the House of Representatives and the Senate and analyze the implications as applied to AIMA members.  In addition, RSM will importantly speak to the process ahead and what may develop as the Fall legislative season quickly progresses.

Finally, legislation and regulation of digital assets is rapidly evolving and raising unique policy considerations. With a market cap in excess of $2 trillion and a history of underreporting, how will tax policy makers weigh regulation with supporting innovation? RSM will cover these considerations, questions, and more in the digital asset space from a tax perspective.

AIMA Regulatory Deep Dive Programme

The session will be of interest to non domestic manager members who would be interested in that country/region because they:

  • Manage or sub-manage funds established in that country/region;
  • Market funds or portfolio management services in that country/region; or
  • Invest in issuers established in that country/region or traded in that country/region.

AIMA are hosting a programme of country/region-specific regulatory review sessions that cover the changes in the relevant country/region's regulation and enforcement in the trailing six months and any pending or future country/region-specific developments that are anticipated in the next six months.

Each session will cover topics with respect to the country/regionproviding requirements, guidance, enforcement that affects solely asset managers that are established there.
